PURPOSE:To provide a KANA/KANJI (Japanese syllabary/Chinese character) conversion method and its processor which requires no operator-correction work on converting result and which saves volume of autonomous wards dictionary even in the case with conjugative wards whose pronunciation of a ward-stem changes according to its conjugations. CONSTITUTION:An irregular conjugation verb processing part 5 processes a part of speech and notation of a word having an irregular conjugation verb as a conjugative word-end and a pronunciation character string which follow the word, so as to generate a candidate clause. A KANA/KANJI conversion part 4 retrieves an autonomous words dictionary 8 by using a KANA string inputted at a character inputting part as a pronunciation. If the obtained word does not have an irregular conjugation verb as a conjugative ward-end, an adjunctive ward dictionary 9 is retrieved to generate a candidate clause obtained by KANA/KANJI conversion a KANA string. Otherwise, its part and notation and a pronunciation string following the words are supplied to the irregular conjugation verb processing part 5, and there, a candidate clause is obtained. |
