<p>PURPOSE:To drastically improve display quality and to enable the formation of a display screen to a larger size and the improvement in resolution. CONSTITUTION:This active matrix type display device consists of plural scan bus lines 1 provided on one insulating substrate, data bus lines 2 provided to cross these lines, picture element electrodes 4 disposed in a matrix form, switching elements 3 connected to the bus lines 1, 2 and the picture element electrodes 4, storage capacitors 5 for charge storage connected at terminal on one side to the picture element electrode 4, storage capacitor bus lines 6 provided in parallel with scan bus lines 1 connected with the terminals on the other side of the storage capacitors 5, a common electrode provided on another insulating substrate and electrooptical elements which are electrically connected to the picture element electrodes 4 and the common electrode and are controlled by the switching elements 3. The adjacent storage capacitors bus lines 6 are electrically connected by junctures 7 at least at >=1 points within the region where a picture element matrix is formed.</p> |
