Panel or other object is formed, by heating and pressing in a mould, a mixture of thermoplastic and filler, esp. polyethylene and tyre cord waste, broken cork, wood chips or coir waste. Mixture can comprise either, (a) filler wrapped in thermoplastic sheet, or (b) filler and granulated thermoplastic or (c) filler inserted into mould lined with statically charged thermoplastic powder. Pref. the mould is temp. controlled and lined with PTFE or silicone. |
