PURPOSE:To store or return paid receiving paper money smoothly in a short time and to efficiently perform a conveying process by forming a conveyance path in a gentle arcuate shape from a money reception opening to a temporary pool part. CONSTITUTION:One money reception/return opening 12 which serves as both a money reception opening and a money return opening by itself is provided at the upper part of a money reception unit main body 11, an inward money reception path L1 which is communicated with the money reception/return opening 12, and one return path L2 and the other storage path L3 are connected branching the path L1. Then, when a discrimination part 14 discriminates that money fed in the money reception opening is a defective paper money which can not be discriminated, the defective paper money is guided from the money reception opening to the temporary pool part 15 through the smooth conveyance path in the arcuate shape, and pooled temporarily and then returned immediately to the adjacent return opening. Therefore, unreasonableness such as direction conversion is eliminated as to the conveying direction and a flawed paper money and a folded paper money which can not be discriminated are suitably returned. |
