PURPOSE:To provide the transmission device for an optical signal, which can transmit a control signal whose bit length is long or data at a high speed, and also, whose constitution is simple. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting equipment 1 of an optical signal transmission system is constituted of a multi-mode oscillation laser diode 11, a laser diode type optical amplifier 13 for amplifying light from this laser diode 11, a driver circuit 15 for driving them, a wavelength selecting/absorbing circuit 17 for absorbing selectively a spectrum subjected to multi-mode oscillation, a heater control circuit 19 for executing turn-on/turn-off control of a heater for controlling a refractive index of a ring resonator provided so as to correspond to each wavelength of this wavelength selecting/absorbing circuit 17, and a CPU 21 for controlling the heater control circuit 19, based on a signal to be transmitted. At the time of executing the transmission, a bit train signal consisting of a multi-mode spectrum is transmitted in parallel by an optical fiber 5. |
