PURPOSE:To provide a synchronous system which can secure the accurate synchronization of words by performing a word searching operation when the synchronizing step-out of a frame occurs. CONSTITUTION:An error correcting/decoding means 2 applies an error correcting operation to a reception signal (b) to output a syndrome signal (a) and a corrected data signal (c) and also to input a word synchronization deciding result (e). Then the means 2 performs a word searching operation when the result (e) shows a word synchronizing step-out state and furthermore discontinues the word searching operation when the result (e) shows the formation of the word synchronization respectively. A frame synchronizing means 3 is added to decides the frame synchronization and outputs the frame synchronization deciding result (f) together with a word synchronous means 4 which decides the word synchronization based on the presence or absence of the signal (d) and also output the result (e) showing the word synchronizing step-out state when the result (f) shows a frame synchronizing step-out state. |
