PURPOSE:To permit a device other than a master device to perform the same registering operation as usual even if registration to the master device is disabled. CONSTITUTION:Sales data by articles which are inputted from a slave device 13 are registered in PLU files 15 on the sides of the master device 11 and backup master device 12 respectively. When the registration to the master device 11 is disabled, data inputted from the other device are registered in the PLU file 15 on the side of the backup master device 12. When the master device 11 recovers to the normal state, the data registered in the PLU file 15 on the side of the backup master device 12 when its registration is disabled are registered in the PLU file 15 on the side of the master device 11 to match the contents of both the files with each other. |
