<p>PURPOSE:To provide a data processor in which the increase of a logical and physical scale can be minimized, and a continuously usable address space can be relatively enlarged. CONSTITUTION:A 16 bit extended register Ei is added to 16 bit general registers RiH and RiL of an 8 bit CPU, so that a register constituted of 32 bits can be adapted. The register can be used as one register, also can be used by dividing it into two, or further dividing one divided register into two. Thus, the operation convenience of the register on a software and a hardware can be satisfactory, and the reduction of the logical and physical scale of the CPU can be attained. And also, the extension of a lineally usable address space can be easily performed at the time of holding address data by using the whole or part of the register.</p> |
