PURPOSE:To obtain the silver halide photographic sensitive material capable of selecting the tone density or color of the background of an image in accordance with need by forming a silver halide emulsion layer and a specified heat sensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The heat-developable photosensitive material formed on a support comprises at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one heat sensitive layer containing a basic dye precursor and a color developing agent, and it is preferred to form the heat sensitive layer by coating the support with a coating fluid comprising microcapsules containing at least the basic dye precursor and an emulsion prepared by dissolving the color developing agent in an organic solvent hardly soluble or insoluble in water, emulsifying and dispersing it in water and drying it. Further, it is preferred to form a layer containing a substance absorbing laser beams and converting light energy into heat energy, preferably, such as infrared absorbing dye stuff, near the heat sensitive layer or adding this substance to this layer, or using both means. |
