<p>PURPOSE:To prepare an icon including the required information of an original image by resistering minimun resolution image data which is obtd. by compressing image data with a JBIG (Joint Bi-Level Image Group) compression system. CONSTITUTION:An image is read by a scanner 14, then the image is stored in a main memory 2. The image data is changed in low resolution by a compression and expansion circuit 8 with the JBIG system and stored in the buffer of the main memory 2. The image information is outputted on a system bus and stored in a VRAM 4. Next, cutting off of the image data is instructed by a key board 17, then the image data which is designated to be cut off is stored in the main memory 2. The image data is compressed by the compression and expasion circuit 8 to a low-resolution image and the image data is stored two different buffers of a hard disk 11 and the main memory 2. Next, the image data stored in each buffer are resisterd as the icon.</p> |
