PURPOSE:To shorten the non-working time of a device associated with the exchange of a photosensitive body and to prevent toner scattering which is caused by improperly mounting a photosensitive body by providing an infrared absorbing filter in a photosensitive body sort detection means. CONSTITUTION:Since an infrared light cut filter 66 is disposed in the optical path of irradiating light from the light emitting element 52 of the photosensitive body sort detector 53 to the photosensitive body 21 in the device, reflected light from the photosensitive body 21, which is made incident on a color sensor 51, is only the light in a visible light area. Therefore, near infrared light is made incident on the color sensor 51 with visible light, so that wavelength is detected to be longer than actual one, and a situation that the detection of color, that is, the sort of the photosensitive body is not accurately performed by the detector 53 is not caused. Thus, a master CPU 40 accurately discriminates the sort of the photosensitive body 21, controls an image forming unit corresponding to the sort of the photosensitive body based on the discriminated result, and informs that the photosensitive body 21 is improper. |
