PURPOSE:To enable a client to form layout information identical to printed matter and to enable the use of the magnification, angle and trimming informa tion of a printing original measured by the client in a printing company and further to enable the measurement of the magnification, angle and trimming without using an optical system and to eliminate the need for a scanner prepar ing sheet. CONSTITUTION:A layout section 26 processes image data of a low-resolution in accordance with the instructions on the color sepn. conditions, such a layout and magnification, angle and trimming of the images instructed by an instruction section 24 and displays the processed image data on the screen of a monitor device 28. The layout data and color sepn. condition data are determined in accordance with such displayed images and are outputted from an output section 30 and the scanner preparing sheet is formed. A layout device 44 forms plate making data from the images of a high resolution in accordance with the layout data and color sepn. data. The need for forming the preparing sheet is thus eliminated.
