PURPOSE:To inform the fact that a telephone is interrupted transiently to a call issuing side by providing an automatic response part which automatically sends a message to the call issuing side when an incoming call is refused. CONSTITUTION:This portable telephone with incoming call refusal function is provided with a change-over switch part 1 to switch a state where an ordinary incoming call can be received and a state where the incoming call is refused as a means to inform incoming refusal to a caller side. The automatic response part 2 automatically sends out the message from a transmitter 10 to the call issuing side for the incoming call when the change-over switch part 1 is set in a state of incoming call refusal. The message sent out to the call issuing side when automatic response is issued is sent out from a storage part 4 to a transmitter 10 by the instruction of the automatic response part 2. Furthermore, a timer part 5 which cancels an incoming call refusal state according to a value (timer value) set from the outside is provided, and a state can be automatically restored from the incoming refusal state to an ordinary incoming call receiving state. |
