<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the communication protocol in a network printer system. CONSTITUTION:A file server 2, an image processor 3, and a terminal equipment 4 are connected to a network 1. The processor 3 collects the information on the available functions, the image processing state, and the states of the faults and the expendables through a sensor part. Then the processor 3 produces a state file and registers it to the server 2. A user who operates the equipment 4 fetches the state file from the server 2 and displays it on a display device to grasp the function of the processor 3, the image processing state, the history of faults, etc. Thus the user produces an operating mode file to decide the image processing contents and can register this file to the server 2.</p> |
