PURPOSE:To obtain a telephone system capable of using a cordless telephone system in common to a single line and plural lines. CONSTITUTION:Connection equipment CE and a portable telephone set RTEL are provided with an identification code and a proper CE number in common to a system, and furthermore, the RTEL is provided with a proper telephone number, and the CE uses a control CH decided by the CE number, and they are connected to line wires separately. The cordless telephone system can be used in common to the plural lines and the single line by scanning the control CH in a standby state, and performing call issuing processing on the control CH sequentially by the RTEL when a call is issued.
