PURPOSE:To shorten installation time and improve exterior property by a method wherein a protection cover, protecting the connecting valve of an outdoor unit and provided with a function to conduct drain water to a base plate, is constituted so as to be capable of fixing the tip end of a drain hose connected to an indoor unit. CONSTITUTION:An outdoor unit for a separate type air-conditioning machine is provided with a protection cover 1, protecting a connecting valve 2 and provided with a function to conduct drain water to the base plate of the bottom of the outdoor unit, while the protection cover 1 is constituted so as to be capable of connecting and fixing the tip end of a drain hose 3 extended from an indoor unit. Dew water, conducted from the side of the indoor unit through the drain hose 3, is conducted to the base plate by conducting it into a trough unit 5 formed on the inner surface of the lower part of the protecting cover 1. Two flows of dew water, comming from the indoor unit and the outdoor unit, are joined and, thereafter, the dew water is discharged to the outside of the unit through one piece of drain hose. |
