CONTROLLER FOR REACTION TO STEERING ACTION

PURPOSE:To enable a device for giving reaction to steering action when a driver steers a steering wheel to carry out the simulation sufficiently considering the assist force of power steering. CONSTITUTION:A means 10 detects the steering angle of a steering wheel. Means 6,7 detect and compute the speed of a vehicle. A means 11 computes the slip angle of the steering wheel based on the vehicle speed and the steering angle. A means 10 computes virtual steering angle reaction based on the steering angle, vehicle speed and the slip angle. A means 11 gives weight to the virtual steering reaction based on the slipping angle and computes the steering reaction.
