PURPOSE:To stably produce a thin film having high strength by combining two pieces of rotatable disks, folding the end part of the film, gripping the folded part by a tenter clip and stretching the film in the lateral direction. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of rotatable disks A11, B12 are provided so that the surfaces thereof are made parallel to the surface of a film 13. The disks are supported by a supporting matter 15 equipped with a means which independently moves the disks in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction. The end part of the film 13 is traveled between the upper surface of the disk A11 and the rear surface of the disk B12, or between the rear surface of the disk A11 and the disk B12 by moving the disk A11 on the center side of the film and the disk B on the end part side of the film in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction. Then the disk B12 is moved in the vertical direction and the end part of the film is folded. Furthermore the disk B12 is horizontally moved in the direction of the center of the film to a position wherein the disk B12 and one part of the disk A11 are lapped via the film. The end part of the film is continuously folded and the film is stretched in the lateral direction. |
