PURPOSE:To provide an electrostatic recorder, in which abrasion of a recording electrode is prevented and a superior recorded image having no defect such as distortion, dot blanking, bleeding or the like and having high resolution can be formed stably for a prolonged term. CONSTITUTION:A two-component developer is used, and the surfaces of carrier particles C contained in the developer are coated with silicone resin film 22. The silicone resin film 22 is softer than a nickel-plated film 23 applied on the surface of a recording electrode EL, and the adhesion energy of the silicone resin film 22 and the nickel-plated film 23 is lower than the bond energy of nickel-plated film 23 itself. The rigid fine projections 18 of the carrier particles C are abutted against the nickel-plated film on the surface of the recording electrode EL through the silicone resin films 22, thus generating no scratch abrasion and adhesion abrasion in the recording electrode EL. |
