PURPOSE:To enable simple obtaining of 1-alkenes, especially optically active 3,7-dimethyl-1,6-octadiene in which carbon atom adjacent to the double bond at the terminal is asymmetric carbon atom. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by the formula R1R2C=CH2X (R1 and R2 are substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or substituted alkenyl or substituted or unsubstituted aryl and R1 and R2 are not the same; X is releasable group) is asymmetrically reduced in the presence of a palladium compound, an optically active phosphine compound, a tertiary amine and formic acid for producing optically active 1-alkenes expressed by the formula R1R2C*HCH= CH2 (C* is asymmetric carbon atom). (S)-(-)- or (R)-(+)-2-Diphenylphosphino-2'- methoxy-1,1'-binaphthyl is used as the optically active phosphine compound. |
