PURPOSE:To make the bricks flexible by specifying the Fe2O2, CaO and Cr2O3 contents within a certain range in the magnesia chromium bricks. CONSTITUTION:The starting substance formulation containing 10 to 80wt.% of natural or synthetic magnesia clinker of less than 3.5wt.% Fe2O3 content and less than 2.0wt.% Ca0 content, 20 to 70wt.% of natural or synthetic magnesia clinker of 3.5 to 10wt.% Fe2O3 and 1.5 to 3.0wt.% CaO content and 20 to 40wt.% of chromium ore, is kneaded with 3 to 5wt.%, based on the formulation, of a binder such as molasses or white lead, then formed and sintered at 1550 to 1750 deg.C. Since the bricks contain 3.5 to 10wt.% of Fe2O3, 1 to 3wt.% of Ca0 and 6 to 15wt.% of Cr2O3 and give deflective properties, the durability is improved by improvement in coating adhesion and lowering of the outer steel shell temperature, when it is used in the cement rotary kiln. |
