PURPOSE:To prevent any paper money jam taking place at a changeover gate section when changeover of a conveyance gate is carried out to collect the paper money left on the conveyance passage, in the case of interrupting paper money conveyance on a conveyance passage. CONSTITUTION:When conveyed paper sheets are to be taken in a stacking area, a gate changeover control unit 4 checks detected information of a medium detection unit 2, and, if there is any notice of detected information, checking on the detected information of the medium detection unit 2 is repeated after elapse of a specified time, until there is not more notice of detected information, whereas, if there is no notice of detected information, conveyed paper sheets are taken in the stacking area. |
