摘要 PURPOSE:To easily obtain a friction material prevented from release and having high abrasion resistance and the high coefficient of friction by directly baking an org. resin coating layer based on fluoroplastic good in durability to a core material composed of iron or an iron base alloy to integrate the same with the core material. CONSTITUTION:A friction material is constituted by directly baking an org. resin coating layer good in abrasion resistance, oil resistance and heat resistance to a core material composed of iron or an iron base alloy. At this time, the org. resin coating layer is formed from a compsn. prepared by adding an inorg. fiber and an inorg. filler or an org. filler to a fluoroplastic coating agent. The amount of the inorg. fiber and the inorg. filler or the org. filler added to the fluoroplastic coating agent is set to 10wt.% or less. At the time of production, fluoroplastic is directly applied to the surface of the core material to be baked at 160-300 deg.C.
