COLOR FILTER AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To provide a color filter consisting of a color thin film capable of controlling the ton or the absorptivity of the filter used for a color video camera or the like and excellent in weather resistance. CONSTITUTION:The thin film of an inorganic glass or gel incorporating a transition metal oxide or a transition metal complex as a color developer is formed on a transparent base plate to manufacture an inorganic color filter. The color filter excellent in tone and absorptivity and in light resistance and environmental resistance is provided by using such constitution and the producing method.
