PURPOSE: To remove halogenated org. compds. from waste gas containing NOx by optionally leading the waste gas through a fixed bed or fludized bed and bringing the waste gas into contact with Caro's acid or its salts. CONSTITUTION: The waste gas contg. NOx, especially waste gas from dust incinerator, optionally supplemented with SO2 is optionally led through a fixed bed or fluidized bed and brought into contact with Caro's acid H2 SO4 or its salts. In this case, the Caro's acid can be produced in situ by adding H2 O2 and optionally H2 SO4 . Thus halogenated org. compds. such as halogenated benzodioxine, halogenated dibenzofurane are removed. |
