PURPOSE:To perform lateral seal of uniform width having width accurately correspondent to the width of a heat seal edge for a film for package of the traveling velocity not slower than some velocity. CONSTITUTION:A heat seal roll is equipped with two pieces of coupled rolls which are mutually approached, arranged in parallel, rotated and driven in the mutually reverse directions, built-in heaters 9 in the respective rolls 8 and heat seal edges 10 which are projected to the outside in the radial direction, provided and lengthened in the axial direction of the rolls 8. The front sides in the direction of rotation of the heat seal edges 10 are formed into thin-walled parts 11. Different kind of materials 12 having thermal conductivity higher than the heat seal edge itself are fixed between the thin-walled parts 11 and the rolls 8. |
