PURPOSE:To provide a purifying method for effectively removing NOx included in exhaust gas of a diesel engine, etc., at a relatively low temp. on the order of a temp. of actual exhaust gas of automobiles. CONSTITUTION:When an exhaust gas purifying material 3 with heat resistance and porosity is installed in the middle of a passage of exhaust gas and liq. hydrocarbon 55 is added to the exhaust gas on the upstream side of the exhaust gas purifying material 3, air from a pipe 49 is discharged from a nozzle 50, causing the liq. hydrocarbon to be atomized. The gasified hydrocarbon is made to interact with the exhaust gas as a reducing agent to reduce and remove nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas. |
