The boat is made for approaching, harassing and destroying naval capital warships, or civil merchant transport ships, which may be aircraft carriers, battleships, cruisers and other escort ships, or cargo ships and oil tankers, and in not very deep water. The boat consists principally of a catamaran hull, a motorisation unit which is designed to achieve off-shore speeds, ballasting, a cockpit for partial or total immersion, and a weapon (armament) in keeping with its function of destruction. The assembly is intended in particular for coastal defence and for more inland waters such as channels. It is also suitable for preparations for landing or sabotage. <IMAGE>
