PURPOSE:To improve reliability of electrical connection by forming an opening in a cover with which the bottom wall part or the side wall part of an inflator is covered and providing a cover body which is brought into a closed state only when a connector is properly connected to the inflator. CONSTITUTION:An opening 20 is formed in an inflator cover 18, with which the bottom wall part 16 or the side wall part 17 of an inflator 11 is covered, in a state that a connector 15 is caused to front on the inflator cover, and a cover body 22 is arranged to the opening 20. When the connector 15 is connected to the inflator 11 and the cover body 22 is closed, the pushing protrusion part 24 of the cover body 22 pushes the back face 21 of the connector 15. Since the cover body 22 can be brought into a closed state only when the connector 15 is properly connected to the inflator 11, electrical connection is reliably carried out. Since the structure is formed such that when the cover body 22 is not brought into a closed state, the protrusion 27 of the back of the cover body interferes with a mounting screw 29 and an air bag assembly 1 can not be mounted on a steering wheel 2, the reliability of an air bag device is further improved. |
