PURPOSE:To provide the subject agent having excellent skin-protective effect, powerful in medicinal bathing effect, thus effective for intractable dermatoses, etc., also free from side effects, nontoxic even if swallowed, and inert to bathtubs, etc., because of containing no various additives. CONSTITUTION:The objective bathing/medicinal bathing agent contains, as active ingredient, an extract of Asparasus linearis, a kind of naturally occurring leguminous plant. This active ingredient can be obtained by (A) extracting the leaves or stems of the above plant with water and/or an organic solvent followed by distilling off the solvent, or (B) grinding the leaves or stems of the above plant. Or, the extract may be obtained by a similar method to that for conventionally producing green tea or tea. For the amount of this agent to be used in a bathtub, which is dependent on the kind or degree of a disease, it is preferable that 2-10g of the dry leaves of the above plant be used based on a bathtub of 200l volume. This agent has the advantages owing to the minerals contained in the above plant, can give beautiful and smooth skin by bathing, also has such effects as to be recovered from fatigue, and can cure the above-mentioned diseases without side effects. |
