AIR BAG UNIT MOUNTING STRUCTURE

PURPOSE:To ensure a wide car room by a method wherein an instrument panel is formed in a compact shape despite of structure wherein a duct for air- conditioning extending in the direction of the width of a car and an air bag unit are arranged on the upper surface part of an instrument panel. CONSTITUTION:An air bag installing part 12 dented in a shape where an air bag unit 14 can be installed is arranged to the upper surface part of an instrument panel 10. Left and right dusts 16L and 16R for air-conditioning extending in the direction of the width of a car are arranged on the back sides of the rear ends of the upper surfaces on both sides in the direction of the width of a car of the air bag installing part 12 of the instrument panel 10. A duct part 20 through which the left and right ducts 16L and 16R for air-conditioning are intercommunicated is arranged in the rear end part of the air bag unit 14 installed in the air bag installing part 12.
