PURPOSE:To prevent waste of absorbent and to prevent the absorbent from being left in a product by moving a nozzle along the cutting route of a material to be cut and ejecting and applying absorbent with which a laser beam is absorbed on the material to be cut. CONSTITUTION:A portal girder 4 is travelably placed on rails 3. A traversing saddle 5 is placed on the girder 4 so as to be crossed in the orthogonal direction to the rails 3. An applying device C and a laser beam torch 2 are mounted on the traversing saddle 5. While the applying device C is moved along the cutting route of the material to be cut, the absorbent with which the laser beam is absorbed is ejected and applied from the nozzle. While the laser beam torch 2 is operated, the material to be cut is worked by moving the torch along the cutting route. Manual aid for applying the absorbent is unnecessitated, waste of absorbent is prevented because the absorbent can be applied to only necessary parts and moving work is unnecessitately because absorbent is not left in the cut product. |
