<p>PURPOSE:To provide the subject composition containing the organic colorant fine particles having a narrow and uniform particle diameter distribution, excellent in the dispersibility, extrusion suitability and storage stability, and suitable for ink jet recording solutions, etc. CONSTITUTION:An organic colorant such as a disperse dye is charged into the organic colorant-charging section 3 of a production container 1, and subsequently sublimed. The sublimed gas is fed into a liquid medium 6 such as water, ethylene glycol or polyethylene glycol containing a dispersing agent such as an alkyl pyridinium sulfate salt to provide the objective composition. The organic colorant is preferably used in an amount of 1-10wt.%, and the liquid medium is also preferably employed in an amount of 0-50wt.%. The dispersing agent is preferably used in an amount of 0.3-3 weight times that of the organic colorant.</p> |
