<p>PURPOSE:To enhance thermal decomposition treatment capacity by performing thermal decomposition in the horizontal cylindrical decomposition furnace of an apparatus for thermally decomposing waste plastic so as to make it possible to effectively reutilize said plastic. CONSTITUTION:A thermal decomposition apparatus consists of a screw feeder 6 feeding waste plastic, a horizontal cylindrical decomposition furnace 1, the heating means 11 provided to the outer wall part of the decomposition furnace 1, the rotary shaft 2 arranged in the decomposition furnace 1 in a freely rotatable manner to be driven by an external motor 4 and having rotary blades 3 provided to the surface thereof, a thermally decomposed gas outlet 7, a pot 8 taking out thermally decomposed residue and a supply passage 9 introducing steam or inert gas into the decomposition furnace 1.</p> |
