PURPOSE:To make the constitution of ventilation apparatus which removes both of soot and harmful gas compact. CONSTITUTION:An equipment for removing harmful gas consisting of TiO2, mixture of activated carbon and Fe2O3, and light source to activate the TiO2 is attached to an electric dust collector 5. In this constitution, the mixture is deposited on an electrifying part 5a or dust collecting part 5b of the electric dust collector and the light source 19 to emit light of <=400nm wavelength is arranged in the vicinity thereof. Thus, the equipment for removing harmful gas is integrally constituted of the electric dust collector 5, and the outer dimension of the ventilation apparatus can be reduced.
