Control unit for motor vehicle safety airbag - corrects sensor sensitivity for hysteresis effect using comparison of deceleration signal with threshold and time evaluation
摘要
The control unit compares a negative acceleration signal from a sensor with a threshold value. When the threshold is reached, an inflation device for ejecting compressed gas to inflate the air bag is switched on. An evaluation device determines whether an initial period in which the deceleration exhibited a positive value lasted for a defined period or longer after detection of a defined deceleration. If so, a correction is performed by increasing the threshold or reducing the measurement signal. ADVANTAGE - Hysteresis compensation reduces cost required for sensitivity correction of sensor.
