The endoscope contains an image transfer system associated with an eyepiece (5) in the region of a hand-grip (4). A device (6) for combining a laser beam into the image transfer system is built into the hand grip so that the laser beam passes from the observer end of the system to the far end. A beam divider (7) arranged in the vicinity of the laser combining device can be a hinged mirror.
