During the first step, the inner member may be replaced by a mandrel 9 having a cylindrical portion 10 equal in diameter to that of the outer member 2 and an end portion 11 corresponding approximately in shape with the inner member; the mandrel is replaced by the inner member for the second step. The portion 11 may be elliptically shaped to allow for differing shrinkage in the setting of the material to thereby reproduce the spherical shape of the inner member. The union between the two parts of the mandrel is castellated. |
