The target practice system has target practice discs (10) that are presented at the front of a magazine (11). The disc has a series of rings based around the bulls-eye. The target disc is monitored by a video camera (15) that provides information that is entered into a memory (21) that together with processing circuitry (22) forms an analysing computer (20). The processing system is triggered by a signal from a sensor (28). A defined image of the target disc is stored within the memory. The computed position of the hit is determined and a display image generated for screen display. A second target system (17) may also be connected.
