The harvesting and treatment vehicle consists of a harvesting device with a chopping system (4), after which is at least one further processing station and a storage station for the harvested crop. The novel features are that: - a grinder (7), a station for preserving the crop, and if required also a press (8) and/or a filter are provided on the vehicle, and - a removable container (28) for the treated crop is also included. Pref. a chopping system, a grinder and a press are used in series. A filter may be used for purifying the juice extracted from the crop by the press, and is connected to a station for preserving the juice and to a removable juice container (28). Juice and residual solid material are handled separately. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for harvesting and processing medicinal plants or herbs. Losses of the curative substances, biochemical changes, and infection by germs or fungi are counteracted by treating the crop immediately after harvesting.
