A control unit 90 times the strobe and CRT pulses, and the time of vidicon readout to display. The reverse light paths may be used simultaneously if suitable filters or polarizers are introduced into the paths. The illuminated points on the CRT are also applied to the vidicon. A flat reflective surface and a precise point-by-point light source such as a one way mirror combined with either a matrix of light cells, or a laser with appropriate deflection circuitry may be used instead of the C.
