PURPOSE:To control the lateral section shape of the sheet material, and to improve the durability of the roll, by inclining upper and lower rolls, and by adjusting the work roll's gap and the roll bending force. CONSTITUTION:The jacks 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d, are actuated in a distance equivalent to the calculated amount, and the inner housings 12, 12', are turned round an arbitrary point W on the line Y-Y (a straight line perpendicular to the straight line X-X passing the center of the roll length and being parallel to the sheet pass line V-V); hereby, the upper and lower rolls 2, 3, 2', 3', are turned by an angle alpha degrees. The left and the right screw down devices 11 are actuated to adjust the initial roll gap. The hydraulic jack 5 for bending the roll is actuated to adjust the roll bending force. By thus adjusting the turning angle alpha degrees, the initial roll gap, and the roll bending force, the section shape of the sheet material is adjusted over a wide range. |
