The mobile floor cleaning appliance (1) has a scrubbing roller in front of which is a cleaning fluid inlet. There is a sweeping roller, a perforated coarse dirt collector (15), and a suction device (6) for the liquid. The coarse dirt collector is positioned directly behind a first scrubbing roller (10). Behind the coarse dirt collector is a second scrubbing roller (11). Both rollers are positioned in the same housing (9) and are driven by the same drive mechanism (14) suspended from the underside of the floor cleaner. The front of the coarse dirt collector has a movable bottom edge (16) resting on the floor (5). USE/ADVANTAGE - Floor cleaner cleans better with coarse dirt collector being positioned directly behind one scrubbing roller, and another scrubbing roller positioned behind coarse dirt collector.
