1381855 Adhesively coated sheets T J SMITH & NEPHEW Ltd 2 Dec 1971 [3 Dec 1970] 57403/70 Heading B2E An adhesive material for external human use comprises a sheet of microporous p.v.c. backing material having a pressure-sensitive adhesive on one surface thereof, an electromagnetically detectable particulate ferrous material being incorporated in the backing material and being uniformly disposed throughout the whole area thereof. Preferably the detectable material has a particle size less than 200 mesh and comprises iron powder, iron oxide, magnetite ironstones, pyrites residues or burnt pyrites. The backing material is a microporous p.v.c. sheet such as that described in U.K. Specification 884,232. The adhesive is preferably polyvinyl ethyl ether based and spread uniformly, for example as a pattern as described in U.K. Specification 819635. The backing may be brightly coloured. |
