<p>The most varied designs of tool holders are known linked by a coupling device to a tool holder receptacle in order to define the tool holder both from moving in the axial direction and from rotating. Given the many components required for the coupling device, such tool holders are not only very costly but also prone to failure. In order to achieve a quick tool exchange without having to carry out machine corrections and to obtain a large range of applications, a tool holder (1) has a guiding part in its central area, is provided in this area with a guide (4) and with a guiding groove (5) which cooperate with a groove and with a clamping wedge (9) in the tool holder receptacle, and has at its lower end (11) a shaft (3) with a longitudinal locking portion delimited at its rear side by a longitudinal seat. A movable clamping jaw (15) engages the longitudinal locking portion (13). These tool holders, when placedtogether in machining magazines, are particularly suitable for revolver or CNC turning machines, as well as for milling heads.</p> |
