<p>Antistatic additive for polyolefin resin prepn. consists of an amine (I) and an amide (II) of formulae R-N (CH3-CHR'-O)mH nH2-n(I) X-CO-N-((CH3-CHX'-O) pH2-q (II) (in which R and X are 6-28C aliphatic hydrocarbyl gps. R' and X' are H or CH3; m and p are integers from 1 to 8 and n and q are 1 or 2). Treated resin prepns. are suitable for extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding or casting, e.g. to films, containers, toys etc., and esp. extrusion-coating. The drawdown/neck-in behaviour is improved.</p> |
