<p>Tool for cutting through portions of a lead frame. The tool has a roughly C-shaped form, wherein each of the legs of the C has a polygonal cross section. Using this device a gate portion of a lead frame can be cut through in a punching operation, wherein on the gate corner plastic is cured as a result of the plastic being gated on either side of the lead frame. This is achieved in that the edge portion of the lead frame has an opening.</p> |
