The pin connector has a socket part (1) fitted in an opening in the switch appts. housing and a cooperating connector part (2) with a test adapter (2a) at the rear. The connector part (2) is secured to the socket part (1) via screws fitted through screw plates (3) projecting from either side of the connector part (2) to locate in threaded bores in corresponding mounting flanges (4) at the sides of the socket part (1). The socket part (1) and the connector part (2) are initially held together in snap-action retaining clips (6,7), with the spring-loaded clip hooks (6) carried by the connector part coupled to an earth protection contact.
