Burner for boiler of cast iron construction - has burner tubes with groups of slits and holes formed in its wall

There are two burner tubes (3) for each combustion gas tube (1). Each burner tube has a group of slits and holes formed in its wall. The slits extend in the circumferential direction and are arranged parallel to each other to form a row which extends in the axial direction. A row of circular holes is formed on each side of the row of slits. Four flame cooling bars (4) are installed above each burner tube (3). Each flame cooling bar (4) has a circular or trapezoidal cross-section and is made from ceramic or steel. ADVANTAGE - The design of burner reduces the thermal surface loading and also reduces the output of nitrous oxides.
