The object of the invention is to optimally minimize flow rate at water outlets, to make the amounts of water flowing therefrom useful to the consumer and to ensure a many years long service life to the disclosed device, which if required may be cleaned without problems and which is resistant to high temperatures and solvents, such as those used in hospitals. It also prevents germs from growing at the outlets of the sanitary appliances. An anti-splash plug and flow limiter for sanitary appliances and water outlets has a device arranged in a housing for subdividing the water jet.
